In collaboration with the NUIG ENERGISE team, Dr Elizabeth Walsh, Assistant Professor in San Jose University and visiting researcher with the ENERGISE project, delivered energy workshops in secondary schools as part of Galway Science Festival in November. Dr Walsh is an expert in science education and in collaboration with the NUIG ENERGISE team developed a series of workshops based on the ENERGISE project. These workshops engaged the students in discussions on social norms around laundry and heating and the students were encouraged to engage with and discuss materials given to participants in the ENERGISE project that form part of the ENERGISE Living Lab Challenges to reduce laundry heating use.
