József Slezák

József Slezák (MSc Inf.Eng & MSc Econ) is an expert on the topic of public policies to promote Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP).
Between 2003 and 2011 he worked for the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe in Szentendre, Hungary, in various managerial and research positions with relevance to, or directly in the field of the promotion of SCP: relevant areas of work included, inter alia, environmental management and environmental performance evaluation at the firm level, integrated resource and waste management, energy efficiency in the residential sector, national policies to promote SCP, etc. with geographical focus on the countries of the European Union (EU) and Southeast Europe (SEE). Since 2012 József works as an independent expert (part-time, project-based activities, in cooperation with the GreenDependent Institute, as well as with other partner organisations) and resides in Zürich, Switzerland. He is the citizen of Hungary and the father of two children.
